Grids, 2013, Each painting is 30 x 40 inches, Acrylic on patterned linen and a tailored suit. The patterned linen in grids of red and green, provides the support for the paintings that replicate this pattern. From surface and paint to support and linen, a material shift subtly separates, like camouflage, the continuous image of pattern wrapping around the wooden stretcher bars. Arrayed across a room, the grid is a field that I inhabit.
